Willie Alexander Callicutt

Willie Alexander Callicutt, 84, passed away Sunday, September 24, 2023, at his residence.

A funeral service will be held Wednesday, September 27, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church in Asheboro, officiated by Rev. Faron Overton and Rev. Brian Faircloth. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.

Born on September 6, 1939, in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Everett and Edna Thompson Callicutt. Willie loved his children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. He loved working in his sawmill, gardening, and working outside. 

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Rachel Hurley Callicutt, of the home; daughter, Vicky Sue Callicutt (Dwayne) of Troy; son, Bruce Callicutt (Joyce) of Troy; brother, Hal Callicutt (Patricia) of Troy; grandchildren, Jamie (Peter) and Brandon (Amy); and great-grandchildren, Carter, Travis, Hunter, Case, and Everett. He is preceded in death by his brothers, J.C. Callicutt, Bill Callicutt, and Bob Callicutt; sisters, Shelby Simmons and Ruby Phillips; and grandson, Daniel McLeod.
