Thomas “Tommy” LeeRoy Moore, 82, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center in Salisbury.
Arrangements are being planned and will be announced.
Born December 3, 1939, in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Garland and Eunice Roberts Moore. He graduated from Troy High School and C.P.C.C. with an Associate’s Degree in Social Science and Criminal Justice. Tommy had served as a Corporal in the US Army, former Constable of Troy, and a police officer in Charlotte for thirteen years. He also formerly owned a grocery store and grill, and owned and operated several restaurants throughout the years. He loved cooking, nature, gardening, and working in his greenhouse.
He is survived by his sons, Ian Lee Moore, Anthony Moore (Laura Helmstetler), and Brandon Moore; daughter, Elizabeth Landwehr (Darryl); sisters, Deborah Moore Ashby (Pete Miller) and Sissie Moore King; sister-in-law, Mae Moore; grandchildren, Christian Moore (Victoria) , Courtney Moore, Sarah Englar (Nate), Julia Anne Landwehr, Kassie Benoit (James), Daniel Landwehr (Emily Ruth); and great-grandchildren, Alec Moore, Stephanie Moore, Bowden Englar, Caven Englar, Lexon Englar, Eden Englar, and Ember Englar. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Gerald Brantley Moore and Charles Timothy Moore.
