Teresa Carol Jackson

Teresa Carol Jackson, 59, passed away Sunday, September 4, 2022 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

A funeral service will be at 1:00 p.m. Friday, September 9, 2022 at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium Chapel, officiated by Rev. Don Malpass.  Burial will follow at Hillside Memorial Park.  The family will receive friends from 11:30 – 1:00 at the funeral home, and other times at the home of her parents, 17501 Shannon Drive, Laurel Hill, NC.

Born in Hampton, Virginia on June 8, 1963, she is the daughter of Lemuel McCoy and Hilda Jackson of Laurel Hill.  Teresa loved the sound of laughter, going to the beach and spending time with her family.  She especially loved her girls, Fluffier and Eunique.  Fall was her favorite season and she loved flowers and dancing.  Teresa was a fan of the Betty Boop character and even named one of her canine’s after Betty Boop.

Along with her parents, she is survived by her girls, Fluffier and Eunique (fur babies); her sister, and brother-in-law, Wendy J. Locklear and Chris of Laurinburg, NC; nephews, Will Jackson (Jessie) of Charlotte, NC and Troy Jackson (Robin) of Laurel Hill, NC; nieces, Reva Jackson of Lumberton, NC, and Tiffani McMillan (Matt) of Laurinburg, NC; great nephews, Eric Sumner, AC McPherson, Raylin Jackson, Jonathan Jackson (JJ), and Lucas McMillan; great nieces, Emma Jackson, Lealynn Jones, Kenlee McMillan, Ryleigh Jackson, Gracelynn Edwards, McCoya McMillan and Charlotte Jackson; aunts, Shirley Best of Mt. Olive, NC and Marian Cotton of Hampton, VA; uncle, Roger Keel of Fayetteville, NC; and several cousins.  She is preceded in death by her canine companions, Betty Boop, Pudgy, Harley and Jackson.
