Shelby Jean Dial

Shelby Jean Dial, 79, passed away Monday, April 12, 2022 at Morrison Manor.

The family will have a memorial service at 3:00 p.m. Saturday, April 16, 2022 at East Laurinburg Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Richard Tyson and Rev. Woody Byrd. The family will receive friends at the church from 2:00 – 3:00 p.m.  Due to COVID-19, face masks are suggested and please practice social distancing.

Born, September 28, 1942 in Robeson County, NC, she was a daughter of the late Wealthie Dial Russell.  She was an insurance representative and she loved her flowers, digging in the dirt, cooking, and shagging. 

She is survived by her children, Michelle Hughes (Jeremy) of Supply and Chris Dial of Fayetteville, NC; special friend, John Larry of Laurinburg; three sisters, Joann Thrower of Laurinburg, Gwen Dees (Lewis) of Florida, and Ruth Russell of Laurinburg; four grandchildren, Brianna English, Jackson English, Myleah Washington, and Devay Dial; and the Jones’ family. She is preceded in death by her brothers, James Dial and Robert Dial; and two sisters, Yvonne Edwards and Colene L. Russell.
