Pearl Wilkinson
July 28, 1907 — January 7, 1999
Miss Pearl Wilkinson, 91, of 405 N. Patterson St. died Thursday, January 7, in Carrington Place Nursing Home, Matthews, NC.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday at 2:00 PM in the Centre Presbyterian Church with Rev. Douglas Hix officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Born July 28, 1907 in Robeson County, she was the daughter of the late Dougald Angus and Mary McLauchlin Wilkinson. A retired fifth grade teacher after 42 years of service, Miss Wilkinson received her B.A. from Flora Macdonald College. The oldest member of Centre Presbyterian Church she received her lifetime membership pin from the Women of the Church. She was a member of the Daughters of the Confederacy.
Her sister Isabel W. McManus of Charlotte; two nephews, four nieces, four great nieces and four great nephews survive her.
The family will receive friends at the home and after the services on Sunday at the church.
