Patricia "Patsy" (Thompson) Brown

Patricia “Patsy” Thompson Brown, 73, passed away Sunday, December 20, 2020, at Atrium Health Stanly.

Please join Patsy's family in celebrating her life, 3:00 p.m., Saturday, March 27, 2021 at Sharon Cemetery with Preacher Kong officiating.

Born March 23, 1947 in Stanly County, she was a daughter of the late Bobby R. and Ann Spicer Thompson.  She was an accountant with Hudson Pools for 10 years and a payroll supervisor with Guilford Mills for 20 years. She also worked with several software companies as a consultant. Patsy and her husband also owned and operated The Kitchen Restaurant in Mt. Gilead. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Mt. Gilead. Patsy loved to shag and dance, loved her great-grandchildren, shopping, was a great cook, and her family was her life. She made sure no one went without anything.

She is survived by her husband of 53 years, Jackie Brown of the home; daughters, Chris Gaddis of Candor and Amy B. Honeycutt (Ken) of Faith, NC; grandchildren, Aaron Byrd (Nicole), Josh Byrd (Jennifer) of Mt. Gilead, Austin James of Des Moines, IA and Abby James of Faith, NC; great-grandchildren, Emily Byrd, Brooklyn Byrd, and Ethan Byrd.  She is preceded in death by her brother, Danny Thompson.

Memorials may be made to the First United Methodist Church, 100 N. Main Street, Mt. Gilead, NC 27306.
