Obituary

Mozelle Sanders Marshall, affectionally known as “Mo” passed away Saturday, December 26, 2020 at Scotia Village.

A private graveside burial will be held on Saturday, January 2, 2021 at Hillside Cemetery officiated by Rev. Rufus Butner.

Born May 17, 1944, in Marlboro County, SC, she was a daughter of the late George Dixon and Myra Granger Sanders.  She retired from Springs Industries after 29 years of service.  In her retirement, Mo worked for McDougald Funeral Home.  She was a member of the Laurel Hill United Methodist Church and sang in the choir.  Mo enjoyed cooking, playing cards, visiting people in rest homes, and she especially loved spending time with her family.  If you ever visited Mo in her home, you would get two things without fail; a hug and some good food to eat!

She is survived by her husband of 50 years, Ernest “Ernie” Lynn Marshall; her loving sisters, Joan Long of Cary, and Priscilla Singletary along with her husband, John of Pittsboro; her children Scott Parks and his wife, Lori of Gibson; Lori Pollock of Bogart, GA; and Kevin Marshall and his wife, Kathleen of Reston VA; six grandchildren, Tyler Parks, Lauren Pollock, Jackson Pollock, Kaden Marshall, Conor Marshall and Claire Marshall; and many nieces and nephews who love her dearly.
