Obituary
Mott Blair “Bud” Sedberry, Jr., 79, of Troy passed away Monday, March 20, 2023 at his residence.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 22, 2023 at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. Gary Rutherford. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Troy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the chapel.
Born June 1, 1943, in Rowan County, he was a son of the late Mott and Nina Dennis Sedberry. He was a skilled carpenter/builder, spending a career in commercial and residential building. “Bud” was a family man who enjoyed spending time with the grandkids.
He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Linda Beaman Sedberry of the home; daughter, Kathy Williams (Darren) of Richfield; son, Dennis Sedberry (Tammy) of Troy; brother, Ted Sedberry (Ellen) of Troy; grandchildren, J.D. Sedberry, Lynsay Saunders (Ryan), Jacob Sedberry, Nathan Williams (Kailey), and Carter Williams of Salisbury; and great-grandchildren, Cameron Sedberry, Dawson Saunders, Eli Saunders, Sadie Williams, and Dayton Williams. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his sister, Betty Sue Robinson, and brother, Everett Sedberry.
