Linda Janette Chisholm Moore was born 10 March 1948 and passed away on 15 December 2014, at the age of 66 after a long struggle with a form of Parkinson's disease. She was the youngest of four daughters born to Jesse Campbell Chisholm, who was born July 20, 1899 and died February 25, 1971 and Julia Snead Chisholm, who was born August 24, 1912 and died February 17, 1977.
Linda is survived by her husband Larry James Moore, their daughter Linda Jennifer Moore (husband Thomas Howell), and three sisters; Bertha Helen Chisholm Mullins, Frances Ellis Chisholm Wallace, and
Betty Lou Chisholm Rouse. Others are her uncles, Carl Jackson Riggan (husband of Grace Cameron Snead Riggan) and Alfred Lee Snead (wife Verna Poston Snead). She is also survived by three nieces and two
nephews along with several great-nieces and nephews.
Linda's love of laughter and outgoing personality attracted many people to her that resulted in friendships lasting many years. Linda graduated from Laurel Hill High School in 1965. Highly intelligent and hardworking, Linda earned a BS in Chemistry from Pembroke State College and two Masters Degrees, one from Troy State University and one from NC State University. Her occupations included science
teacher, auditor, taxpayer resolution representative, and accountant.
Linda also performed volunteer work loaning out household items to new arrivals at Air Force bases where her husband was stationed. Linda and Larry, who will take his love for her to his grave one day, were married for 42 years last August.
