Kermit Lee Hoover

Kermit Lee Hoover, 78, passed away Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Autumn Care in Biscoe.   

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 13, 2021 at 2:00 p.m. at Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Rodney Holmes. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, please practice social distancing and wear a face mask or another form of face covering.

Born November 26, 1942 in Randolph County, he was a son of the late Charles and Lillie Hamilton Hoover. Kermit loved fishing, gardening, and enjoyed wrestling. He never met a stranger and was a people person. If anyone ever visited Kermit, he always made sure no one left hungry.

He is survived by his son, Joseph Lee Hoover (Chelsie) of Rockingham; sister, Linda Hoover Tucker of Mt. Gilead; and grandchildren, Joseph Lee Hoover, Jr., Melissa Leigh Hoover, and Ira Levi Buck Hoover. He is preceded in death by his two brothers, Eugene Hoover and Roger Hoover.

The family will receive friends Friday, November 12, 2021 from 6:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service in Troy.
