Karen Sue (Lewis) Paisi

Karen Sue Lewis Paisi, 60, passed away, Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at her home.

The family will receive friends on Friday, January 28, 2022 from 6:00-8:00 pm at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium.  Due to COVID-19, masks are suggested and please practice social distancing.  The family will have a private memorial service at a later date.

Born April 15, 1961 in St. Louis, Missouri, she was the daughter of the late Weldon and Judith Peoples Lewis.  She was educated in Cumberland County and attended Northview Pentecostal Church until her health prevented her from being there.  She will be remembered for her love for her cats and her grandchildren.  She also enjoyed fishing and the outdoors.  She was tough, yet kind. 

She leaves to cherish her memories, her two daughters, Victoria Walker (Paisi) and Shannon Johnson (Barboza); her son-in-law, Jeffrey Walker; her two precious grandchildren, Elizabeth Walker and Erica Michelle Walker all of Fayetteville, NC; her three brothers, Donnie Lewis (Patty) of Greensboro, NC, Wade Lewis and Tommy Lewis both of Shallotte, NC; wonderful nieces and nephews, including Jennifer Lewis (Donnie), Katherine (Kitty) and Robbie Cole (Carol) of Greensboro, Virginia and California, Jessie and Brittany Lewis (Jamie) of Asheboro and Wilmington, NC; plus a host of other extended family, relatives and friends.  Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Carol Cole and her brother, Jamie Lewis.

Our family gratefully acknowledges with sincere thanks all of the comforting prayers, kindness, condolences and expressions of sympathy and love during the passing of our loved one. The knowledge that our loss is shared by so many has been a great comfort to all of us.  A special thanks to Carlie C’s IGA of Bragg Blvd., workers and chaplains for your endless support and understanding, prayers and love.
