Juanita (Graham) Hilburn

Juanita Graham Hilburn, age 72, passed away on October 20, 2023 FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 23, 2023 at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service Chapel officiated by Rev. Robert Hilburn.  Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Born on September 12, 1951, in Columbus County, she was a daughter of the late Coy Cleaveland Graham and Annie Mae Norris Graham. 

Juanita found joy in simple pleasures. She loved coloring in coloring books.  An avid viewer of Jimmy Swaggart on television brought her comfort and inspiration. Known for her caring nature, Juanita had a beautiful habit of sending cards to people, a small gesture that demonstrated her thoughtfulness and consideration for others.  Her homemade biscuits, and chicken and rice were a favorite with her family.

She is survived by her husband of 56 years, Brice Hilburn of the home; children, Melissa Hailey of Eden, Robert Hilburn and his wife, Dawn of Stoneville, Becky Strong of Asheboro, Wanda Lassiter and her husband, Jeff of Mt. Gilead, and Mary Engle and her husband, Billy of Star; brothers, Danny Graham of Denton and Randy Graham of Thomasville; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, Mary Taylor, Ronnie Graham, and Devon Graham.
