Obituary
Josephine Hough Owens, 82, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2023 at her residence.
A funeral service will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at Troy Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiated by Rev. Richard Lynthacum. Burial will follow at Hamer Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Mt. Gilead.
Born November 28, 1940 in Richmond County, she was a daughter of the late Samuel and Ida Mae Meachum Hough. Josephine was employed as a daycare worker and was a foster parent. She was loved very much by all the children. Her enjoyment came from her flowers and working in the garden. She loved her family and they gathered for all family functions and holidays.
She is survived by her children; Sylvia Morris McRae (Steve) of Mt. Gilead, Charles Morris (Tammy) of Troy, Betty Jo Morris Smith (Thurman) of Seagrove, Dale Lee Morris (Catina) of Troy, and Joseph Morris (Frances) of Troy; sister, Martha Pate of Robbins; and fifteen grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
