Obituary

Jack Joseph Campo, a loving husband, father, and grandfather, passed away peacefully on April 15, 2023, in Rowland, North Carolina, at the age of 80.

No services are planned.

Born on November 13, 1942, in Brooklyn, New York, he was the son of the late Lewis and Marion Daily Campo.

Jack was known for his intelligence, analytical mind, and unwavering love for his family.  He spent his career as a hardware salesman. His hard work and commitment to his profession were evident to all who knew him.

Outside of work, Jack attended Calvary Way Baptist Church in Pembroke.  His love for history was well-known among his family and friends, as he could often be found watching the History Channel or engaging in lively discussions about historical events. His passion for the subject made him a true history buff, and his vast knowledge was admired by all who had the pleasure of conversing with him.

Above all, Jack was a dedicated family man, always putting the needs of his loved ones before his own. He cherished the time he spent with his wife, children, and grandchildren.

Jack is survived by his devoted wife of 49 years, Joan Peterson, and their two sons, Brian Campo (Amy), of Ft. Pierce, Florida, and Jeremy Campo of Rowland, North Carolina. Jack was a proud grandfather to Jacob Campo of Rowland, Robert Campo of College Station, Texas, Nicholas Campo of Gainesville, Florida, and Devin Mercado of Port St. Lucie, Florida.

Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium is assisting the family.
