Horace Strickland

Rev. Horace Strickland (74), born July 27, 1946, passed from his earthly home to his heavenly home on December 17, 2020 at Scotland Memorial Hospital. He follows his loving parents, Mr. Tom & Mrs. Rosie Strickland whom he cherished.

A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, December 20, 2020 at the Bullard Cemetery in Pembroke. Due to Covid-19, please wear a face mask or another form of face covering and practice social distancing.

He leaves behind his wife, Mrs. Geanie Bullard Strickland (referred by him as “Jan”); one son, Darrell Horace Strickland (Brenda); two daughters, Angie Clark (Aric) and Rosann Coulon (Rolland); four grandchildren, Abigail Clark, Aaron Clark, Norah Strickland and Madalyn Strickland, who are affectionately known as “Papa’s Babies.” He also leaves behind one brother, Lacy Strickland, and three sisters, Lillian Locklear, Rosie Dial (Kelly), and Neva Strickland; as well as beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Rev. Horace’s life purpose was to “Reach People to Teach People to Reach People with the Gospel of the Good News of Jesus Christ.” He carried out the Ministry of Jesus in his earthly life and we trust that the seeds planted will ripen until the Lord’s coming.

You may have heard that Preacher Horace Strickland is dead. Don’t you believe a word of it. He is more alive today than ever before. He has just changed his address. He has gone into the Presence of the Lord.
