Glynn Deon Hamilton

Glynn Deon Hamilton, 89, passed away Tuesday, August 8, 2023 at Autumn Care of Biscoe.

A graveside service will be held Friday, August 11, 2023 at 4:00 p.m. at Love Joy Church Cemetery, officiated by Pastor Ron Scott. The family will receive friends in the church one hour prior to the service.

Born on August 28, 1933, in Montgomery County, he was the son of the late Daniel Woosley and Lucy Hulin Hamilton.  Known for his strong work ethic, Glynn was a man who relished the simple pleasures of life. He was passionate about the outdoors, with deer hunting, fishing, and trapping being among his favorite pastimes. Glynn also had an enduring love for cows and farming. He loved to 'pick around', as he would call it, bringing laughter and lightness to any gathering. 

Glynn is survived by his wife of 69 years, Joann Coggins Hamilton, of the home; his son, Deon Hamilton (Charlotte) of Troy; grandchildren, Emily Harris, and Daniel Hamilton, both of Troy, Bethany Cody, Kristen McKinzie, and Taylor Cody, of Fl; and great-grandchildren, Laney Harris of Troy, and Caleb McKinzie of Fl. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Debra Thompson, and his eleven brothers and sisters.
