Born December 8, 1936 in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Howard Ray and Ora Blake Atkins. Doyle was a self-employed trucker and a cattle farmer. Doyle enjoyed farming, riding on his tractor, and tending to his cows. Doyle was affectionally known as the mayor of Love Joy, and he loved slow cruising through the Love Joy community. He especially loved his family and never met a stranger. Doyle always had a smile on his face and waved at everybody he met.
