Doris Ann (Johnson) Gaddy

Doris Ann Johnson Gaddy, 80, passed away Friday, November 27, 2020 at FirstHealh Moore Regional Hospital.

A graveside service will be at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2020 officiated by Rev. Steve Wilkinson at Biscoe Cemetery.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, please practice social distancing and wear a mask or another form of face covering.

Born January 7, 1940 in Montgomery County, she was a daughter of the late Benjamin Elroy and Louise Rush Johnson.  She was a Customer Service Representative with Central Telephone Company for 30 plus years and retired from the Montgomery County Tax Office with 12 years of service.   She was a member of Troy Presbyterian Church.  Doris loved yard work, cleaning, reading and summer gatherings by her pool.  She loved dancing with her husband, Bob, loved her grandchildren, but especially loved her great-grandchild.

She is survived by her daughters, Cathy Gaddy Thompson (Warren), Lisa Gaddy Jones (Craig) and Kim Gaddy Creger (David) all of Troy; her sister, Sara Housley of Pekin; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.  She is preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Robert “Bob” P. Gaddy and her brother, Paige Johnson.
