Christopher Robert Greene

Christopher Robert Greene, Sr., 48, passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020 at his residence.

A Celebration of Life service will be Friday, June 12, 2020 at 11:00 am at the Bumgarner Family Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. Bucky Davis.  The service will be live streamed on our Facebook page. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, seating will be limited.  The family will receive friends immediately following the service, and there will be a private farewell for Chris on Little River at his favorite hunting and fishing spot.

Born October 6, 1971 in Moore County, he was a son of Robert “Bobby” Greene (Billie) of Burnsville, NC and Jill Davis Lawing (John) of Manteo, NC.  Chris was a 1989 graduate of East Montgomery High School.  He owned and operated Greene Home Improvement.  He was a simple country man who loved the outdoors, his family, nature, gardening, hunting and fishing. 

In addition to his parents, he is survived by two sons, Jordan Christopher Greene and Christopher Robert Greene, Jr., both of the home; one sister, Amy Greene of Sneads Ferry; one brother, Israel Monroe Luther, Jr. of Southern Pines; paternal grandfather, Clayton Elwood Greene of  Candor; maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Leviner of Troy; and numerous nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his wife, Rebecca (Becky) Burroughs Greene; son, Christopher Justin (C.J) Greene; paternal grandmother, Lolene Frances Bowman and maternal grandfather, Jimmy Lee Davis.
