Charles Harrison Warner, Jr.

Charles Harrison Warner, Jr., 76, passed away on Friday, February 21, 2020 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital.

A memorial service will be at 4:00 p.m. Monday, February 24, 2020 at Forks of Little River Baptist Church, officiated by Rev. Danny Vuncannon.  Burial will be private.  The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service.

Born February 15, 1944 in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Charles Harrison Warner, Sr., and Ina McKay Warner.  He was a member of Forks of Little River Baptist Church and was a sewing machine mechanic in the textile industry.  Charles enjoyed gardening, fishing, woodworking, camping and loved the outdoors.

He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Ruth Moore Warner of the home; his son, Charles “Chuck” Harrison Warner, III, and his wife Marian of Troy; a grandson, Charles “Chad” Harrison Warner, IV and his partner, Jessenia Zody of Kannapolis, NC; three step grandsons, William Simpson of CA, Bobby and Cody Simpson of Norwood, and Jessie Simpson of Troy;  three great granddaughters, Hailey, Savannah, and Addison Warner; and one step great granddaughter, Hayley D. Simpson of CA.  He is preceded in death by his brother, Gary Warner.

Memorials may be made to Forks of Little River Baptist Church, 2356 Okeewemmee Star Road, Troy, NC 27371, or the Montgomery County Humane Society, 442 Landfill Road, Mt. Gilead, NC 27306.
