Brenda (Williamson) Wood

Brenda Williamson Wood, 53, passed away Monday, April 13, 2020.

A private graveside service will be held Sunday, April 19, 2020 at Southside Cemetery with Speaker Tony Sedberry officiating.  Due to COVID-19, her services will be lived streamed on the Bumgarner Family Funeral Service and Crematorium Facebook page.  There will not be a public visitation. Brenda will lie in state from 11:30 am until 1 pm Sunday at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service, 620 Albemarle Road, for anyone wishing to pay their respects.

Born June 28, 1966 in Moore County, she is a daughter of Charles Williamson of New Hope, NC and the late Linda Sanders Toomes. She was a Certified Nursing Assistant.  Brenda loved hunting, fishing, gardening and especially spending time with her children and grandchildren.  She and Anthony loved riding the backroads.

In addition to her father and stepmother, Connie Williamson, Brenda is survived by two daughters, Melanie Wood and spouse, Jesse Saunders of Troy and Laura Greene of Florida; seven grandchildren; her boyfriend, Anthony Saunders; sister, Jane Gaddis and spouse, Chuck of Staley; two brothers, Danny Privett of Star and Tim Williamson of New Hope; two stepsisters, Jan Williams and Treva Gallimore; and one stepbrother, Jeff Williams.  In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jeff C. Wood.
