Brenda Joyce Saunders

Brenda Joyce Saunders, 70, of Eagle Springs, passed away Wednesday, February 20, 2019 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. Sunday, February 24, 2019 at Rock Hill Friends Church in Eagle Springs, officiated by the Rev. David Roundabush.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. 

Born October 20, 1948 in Moore County, she was a daughter of the late Elsie Elbert and Joyce Phillips Brown.  She worked for Proctor and Silex for 25 years and later sold produce and operated at flea markets.  

She is survived by one son, Greg Saunders of the home; a daughter, Angela Rouse and her husband Darrell of Eagle Springs; one grandchild; and six great grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Cecil Lee Saunders; one brother, Gary Lynn Brown; and one granddaughter, Heather Greene.
