Brantley Leo Lee

Brantley Leo Lee, 80, passed away Tuesday, September 29, 2020 at Pine Ridge Health and Rehab of Thomasville.

A funeral service will be held at 4:00 p.m. Thursday, October 1, 2020 at Parsons Grove United Methodist Church officiated by Rev. Vanessa McIntyre and Tony Sedberry.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery.  Due to Covid-19 restrictions, face coverings are required, attendance will be monitored and seating will be limited for the service.

Born November 2, 1939 in Richmond County, he was a son of the late Henry and Elizabeth Britt Lee.  He was a former truck driver with thirty years of service with Republic Services.  He was a member of Blackwood Chapel Baptist Church.  He loved baseball, softball and gardening.

He is survived by his wife of thirty-three years, Barbara Parsons Lee of the home; one son, Charles Lee of Mt. Gilead; one stepson, Tim Greene (Janet) of Candor; his siblings, Margie Blake of Biscoe, Barbara Jean Hudson of Mt. Gilead, Joyce Cole (Ralph) of Candor, Beatrice Sexton (Eugene) of Biscoe, Darlene Heane (Tom) of Biscoe, Irene Treece (Shuford) of Norman, Mattie Dennis of Mt. Gilead and Richard Lee (Helen) of Ellerbe; four grandchildren, Mollie Lee, Tesia Talbert, Brant Lee and T.J. Greene (Christina); two great-grandchildren, Daisey and Sawyer Greene.  In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Talbert and a son, Darin Lee and numerous brothers and sisters. 

The family will receive friends Wednesday,September 30, 2020 at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m.   Due to Covid-19 restrictions, face coverings are required and attendance will be monitored.
