Bradley Reid Thompson, age 67, passed away Friday, June 12, 2020 at his residence.
A funeral service will be at 3:30 p.m. Sunday, June 14, 2020 at Holly Mount Baptist Church officiated by Rev. Ben Hall. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, seating will be limited. Visitation will be 2:30 p.m. until service time at the church.
Born August 31, 1952 in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late J.C. and Viola Wilson Thompson. He was a self-employed contractor and a former US Air Aircraft Mechanic. Bradley was also a member of the Thompson Quartet, and a member of Holly Mount Baptist Church where he was the Choir Director. Bradley loved singing and playing the piano; especially bluegrass, beach and gospel music. He enjoyed fishing and watching Gunsmoke.
He is survived by his wife of eight years, Cheryl Sedberry Thompson of the home; stepchildren, Melanie Pigford (Kevin) of Troy, Dax Sedberry, and Dustin Sedberry (Shannon) all of Mt. Gilead; ten grandchildren; three great grandchildren; brothers, Colburn Thompson (Gail) of Mt. Gilead, and Felix Thompson (Wanda) of Troy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made to the Church Benevolent Fund, Holly Mount Baptist Church, c/o Don Thompson, 271 Brewer Farm Road, Mt. Gilead, NC 27306.
