Bobby “Bob” Wray Stewart, 88, passed away Friday, March 13, 2020 at his home.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, March 15, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Troy, officiated by Pastor Jeffrey Hartman. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery in Troy.
Bob was born May 17,1931 in Anson County to the late James Call and Irene Hunsucker Stewart. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He retired as Personnel Director at McRae Industries. He was a people person who loved everyone and they loved him. He loved his family and grandchildren, cars, trucks, and working around the house. He was the only person to mow his yard in a three-piece suit.
Bob survived by his wife of sixty-four years, Rebecca “Becky” Blake Stewart of the home; one son, Tony Stewart (Linda) of Mt. Gilead; one grandson, Todd Stewart of Troy; two great-grandchildren, Chelsie Renne Stewart and Taylor Wray Stewart, both of Troy; two step-grandchildren, Brandon Smith of Badin Lake and Michelle S. Bivens of Albemarle. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, James H. Stewart.
The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at First Baptist Church and other times at the home.
