Bernice Coble Parsons, 84, passed away on Monday, November 9, 2020 at Autumn Care in Biscoe.
Services will be held Thursday, November 12, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. at the Guiding Light Baptist Church in Star, officiated by Rev. Mark Medlin. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Due to Covid-19 restrictions, please practice social distancing and wear a mask or another form of face covering.
Born February 6, 1936 in Montgomery County, she was the daughter of the late Leo and Lorena Coble. She was a homemaker, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She loved her family, and her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were her prized possessions. She was a faithful Sunday school teacher and very active in the church for many years. She was always a humble servant for her Savior, Jesus Christ.
She is survived by her husband of nearly 66 years and the love of her life, Alton Parsons of the home; son, Ronnie C. Parsons, and his wife, Jackie of Candor; daughter, Karen Bodsford and her husband, Keith of Candor; sisters, Marie Batten of West End, Carolyn McNeil of Biscoe; brothers, Jerry Coble of Albemarle, LD Coble and Gene Coble both of Mt. Gilead, and Derwin Coble of Salisbury; six grandchildren, Wesley Parsons of Candor, Chris Parsons of Burlington, Anthony Bodsford of Level Cross, Heather Saunders of Candor, Timmy Parsons of Reidsville, and Golda Parsons of Candor; and eleven great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her brother, Roy Coble and her sister, Almeta Wilson.
