Mr. Zeb Butler, 73, formerly of 15980 Fieldcrest Road, died Tuesday, January 28, at NC State Veterans Nursing Home in Fayetteville.

A funeral service will be 2 p.m. Friday at East Laurinburg Church of God officiated by the Rev. Jeff McGirt. Burial will follow at LaFayette Memorial Park, Fayetteville.

He is survived by two foster brothers, Ronnie Fields and Wayne Fields of Laurinburg; two foster sisters, Judy F. Coats of Clayton, NC and Barbara F. Stone of Lumberton. He was preceded in death by a brother, Frank Butler.

He was born December 2, 1929 Scotland County, and was a US Army veteran of the Korean conflict era. He worked in the packaging department of Springs and West Point/Stevens.

Visitation will be held Thursday, 7-9 pm at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
