For years he faithfully supported and attended the Church of God of Prophecy in Raeford. He believed in the power of prayer.Being raised on a farm and with decades of growing his own vegetables, Mr. Taylor mastered the art of farming. The roaring sound of his old FARMALL tractor and the smell of freshly tilled soil made a great day for him. In his later years, he discovered the joy of fishing and found it to be a special time with friends. He loved life, enjoyed working with his hands and cherished his family.

Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Doris Taylor of the home; his children, Melody Snead and husband Randall, Terry and wife Elizabeth, all of Laurel Hill. He was “Papa” to five grandchildren, Timothy Snead and wife Rebekah, Philip Snead, Luke Taylor, Hannah Taylor and Thomas Taylor; and brother, Howard Taylor of Statesville.
