William "Bill" Sidney Worley

William “Bill” Sidney Worley, 68, passed away Thursday, February 1, 2024 at his residence.

At Bill’s request, no services will be held. Instead, he wanted his family to all go somewhere together and remember the happy times.

Born May 16, 1955, in Guilford County, he was a son of the late Eugene Layfayette and Peggy Ann Davis Worley. Bill enjoyed fishing and going out on the boat to fish. He was a big jokester and enjoyed going to the beach.

He is survived by his wife of 35 years, Denise Thomas Worley of the home; children, William Eugene Worley of High Point, Michelle Young (Reggie) of Graham, Anjalea Threadgill (Daniel) of Troy, and Melinda King of Burlington; sisters, Mary Kay Hendren and Polly Gossett (Rex), both of Greensboro; brothers, Tarry Worley (Betsy), Gary Worley, and Darren Worley, all of Greensboro; seventeen grandchildren; one great-grandchild, and eight fur babies. He is preceded in death by his daughter, Cherie Worley Sparks and brother, Eugene Lafayette, Jr.
