William Henry Norton, Jr., 71, of Little River, SC died Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at his home.
Visitation will be Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 2:00 – 4:00 pm at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel. Burial will be private.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rebecca Jones Norton of the home; two sons, David Williams (Amy) of Boise, ID and William Henry Norton, III (Christi) of Surfside, SC; a daughter, Penny Norton Eckert (Clark) of Little River, SC; five brothers, Charles Norton (Christina) of Bennettsville, SC, Ronald Norton (Faye), of Laurinburg, NC, Harrison Norton (Iris), Larry Norton (Diane) and Richard Norton (Cindy) all of Laurel Hill, NC; four sisters, Gertrude Hill (Harvey) of Haw River, NC, Margaret Graves, Betty Hatcher (Jimmy) and Carol Norton (Tom Parker) all of Laurel Hill, NC; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
Born May 2, 1945 in Scotland County, he was a son of the late William Henry and Nealie Clark Norton. He was a fixer for Springs Mills for 30 years. He is preceded in death by a brother, Eugene Norton and a sister Martha Holloway.
