William Alexander Mitchell

William Alexander Mitchell, 15, passed away Monday, January 29, 2024 at his residence.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, February 3, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. at White Crest Baptist Church in Mt. Gilead, officiated by Rev. Ken McRae. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service in the church.

Born September 5, 2008, in Bell County, TX, he is the son of Eddie and Nichole Mitchell Firth of the home. William was a member of White Crest Baptist Church. He was an artist and loved drawing Japanese art and culture. He loved spending time with his family and playing his guitar.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his sister, Mary-Kate of the home; maternal grandmother, Karen Garringer of Morganton; paternal grandmother, Audrey Firth of Mt. Gilead; maternal great-grandmother, Kate McGuinness of Hertford; and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He is preceded in death by his biological grandfather, Robert Graham, great-grandfather and namesake, William “Bill” McGuinness, and his step-grandfather, Kenneth “Kenny” Garringer.
