Mr. William H. "Buck" Maynard, 65, of 106 Daniel Street finished his course in faith on Saturday, January 6, 2007 while a patient at Morrison Manor.

Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at the First Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Robert Dendy. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia "Pat" Daniel Maynard; two daughters, Samantha M. Batten and Husband, David of Maxton and Elizabeth M. Locklear and husband, Terry of Lumberton; a brother, Harold E. Maynard, Jr. of Maxton; a sister, Martha Jean Maynard of Parkton; four grandchildren, Bryan and Adam Grammer and Matthew and Amelia Batten.

Born September 30, 1941 in Robeson County, he was a son of the late Harold E. and Mildred Louise Chavis Maynard. He was a graduate of Maxton High School and was a salesman at McKenzie Supply Co. A lifetime member of the First Presbyterian Church, Buck was a member of the Friendly Bible Class, the Choir, and served as an Elder.

Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Monday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
