William Howard Locklear

William Howard Locklear, 71, passed away Friday, February 4, 2022 at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 12, 2022 at Oak Grove Church Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Thurman Locklear. The family will receive friends immediately following the service.  Due to Covid-19, all attendees are asked to wear a mask and practice social distancing when possible.

Born August 3, 1950 in Scotland County, he was the son of the late Bolden and Jessie Strickland Locklear.  Mr. Locklear was a deliverer in the furniture industry.

He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Retha Waters Locklear of the home; two daughters, Portia Bowden of Hamlet and Michelle Kiser of Wagram; one son, William Locklear of Wagram; two sisters, Elsie Lowery and Margaret Thompson both of Wagram; one brother, Louis Locklear of Wagram; fourteen grandchildren, and eleven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Kelsey Locklear; and two sisters Kelsey Royal and Jesse Driggers.
