William Burris, Jr.

William Burris, Jr., 74, passed away on Tuesday, January 10, 2023 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

Services will be private.

Born February 17, 1948, in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late William, Sr. and Ola Mae Parsons Burris. William retired with McWhirter Grading Company in Mint Hill, NC after 27 years of service and also served his country in the US Army in Vietnam where he was awarded the Bronze Star. He loved piddling with his tractors and loved his animals.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Ann Mincey Burris of the home; son, John Burris (Tracy) of Troy and daughter, Tammy Morton of Asheboro; son, Billy Burris of Alaska; daughter, Susan Burris of Asheboro; eight grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Clayton Parsons, and Lester Burris; and sister, Brenda Johnson.
