Mr. William Paul Britt, 88, of 13 Third Street died Sunday, April 10, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

A funeral service will be Wednesday, April 13, 11 AM at the East Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church officiated by the Revs. Michael Price and George Hawkins.

He is survived by his wife, Thelma Britt of the home; a son, Alvin Britt of the home; one daughter, Wanda Lindeberg of Vero Beach, FL; three grandchildren, Natalee Moldenhaur of Denver, CO, Elisse Tessier of Gilbert AZ, Evette Spickelmier of Maryville, TN; six great grandchildren.

Born June 10, 1916 in Bladen County, he was a son of the late Will and Myrtle Sibett Britt.

Mr. Britt retired from Waverly Mills where he was a maintenance foreman. He was employed with Waverly Mills for 40 years. He was also a Charter Member of the Scotland County Rescue Squad and a member of Woodmen of The World. Mr. Britt was a lifetime member of East Laurinburg Pentecostal Holiness Church and started the building fund for the new church.

Visitation will be Tuesday evening 6-8 pm at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
