William Burnice (Bill) Hardy

William B. "Bill" Hardy, 70, died Thursday, May 28, 2009.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Sunday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife, Nancy Pope Hardy; two sons, Billy Hardy and wife, Susan of Laurinburg and Michael Hardy of Las Vegas, NV; two step-sons, Brian Ayers of Holly Springs and Donnie Ayers of Victor, ID; a daughter, Marie Edwards and husband, Mark of Nichols, SC; his mother, Nellie Howell Hardy of Laurinburg; a sister, Geraldine Clark of Laurinburg; four grandchildren, Will Hardy, Bailey Hardy, Heather Edwards, and Mark Edwards. He was preceded in death by a son, Jeffery DeLeon Hardy.
Born November 25, 1938 in Wake County, he was also a son of the late William Burnice Hardy. Bill formerly served with the US Navy and later operated Hardy's Radio and TV in Laurinburg for many years. He later worked with Campbell Soup and a mechanic.
Bill also attended Hillside Freewill Baptist Church and the East Laurinburg church of God.
