William Everett 'Bill' Craddock

Mr. William Everett "Bill" Craddock, Jr., 76, died Monday, July 10, at Palmer Hinson Health Care in Rockingham.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by the Rev. Bob Schmidt. Burial will follow in Hillside Cemetery.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia McGee Craddock; three sons, Trey Craddock of Asheville, David Craddock and Glenn "Beetle" Craddock of Laurinburg; a brother, Bruce Craddock of Hilton Head, SC; a sister, Laura Martin of Red Springs; two grandchildren; Leslie Craddock and Matthew Williams of Laurinburg.
Born February 21, 1924 in Surry County, he was a son of the late William E. and Betty Ethel Jones Craddock. He was a US Marines veteran of World War II, serving in the South Pacific.
Bill was a former policeman for the City of Laurinburg and St. Andrews Presbyterian College. Later he served as a Scotland County Magistrate and as a clerk for the Scotland County Sheriffs Department.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
