Mr. William C. "Fisherman" Campbell, 58, of Cary died Friday, Oct. 1, at Rex Hospital.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Monday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel officiated by the Revs. Neil Carter and Elizabeth Forester.
He is survived by Veda Martin; two sons, Greg Campbell of Philadelphia and Aaron Campbell of Raleigh; his mother, Carolyn Campbell of Laurinburg, his sister, Joyce Campbell of Laurinburg.
Born February 24, 1946 in Marlboro County, SC, he was also a son of the late Rupert Carlisle Campbell. He attended UNC-CH and graduated from UNC-Pembroke. For 26 years he was employed with Southern Bell/BellSouth living in Charlotte and later Cary. Most recently he was with Positron. Bill was an avid golfer and UNC sports fan.
