Funeral services will be held 3:00 PM Sunday, April 24, 2016 at McDougald Funeral Home & Crematorium Chapel. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.
He is survived by: his mother, Mary Dee Frier Pate of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; children, Hailey Pate, Paige Pate, Anthony Chavis of Laurinburg; sister, Melissa Pate of Myrtle Beach, SC; brother, Samuel Pate of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; paternal grandmother, Elizabeth Chamberland of Laurel Hill; & special friend, Christopher Nicholson of Wagram.
He was preceded in death by: his father, William Benton Pate, Sr; paternal grandfather, Larry Chamberland; maternal grandparents, Peggy Woodell & James Frier.
Billy was born July 6, 1985 in Scotland County. He had worked in construction and auto care.
