William Willard Batten

William Willard Batten, 74, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2021 at his home.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, January 18, 2021 at Love Joy United Methodist Church Cemetery, officiated by Rev. Kim Harris. The family will receive friends immediately following the service at the cemetery. Due to Covid-19, please wear a face mask and practice social distancing.

Born June 19, 1946 in Montgomery County, he was a son of the late Charles and Larue Atkins Batten. He was self-employed as a logger. He enjoyed turkey hunting, flea markets, having friends over to eat and also pulled and traveled with draft horses.

He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Faye Harris Batten of the home; daughter, Michelle Batten of the home; and Erica Saunders and Rachael Saunders, who were his grandchildren at heart. He is preceded in death by his son, Todd Batten.
