Wayman Mark "Wayne" Newton, Jr., 67, passed away Sunday, July 19.
Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m. Wednesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel. Burial will follow in Hillside Memorial Park.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Joyce McLean Newton; his sons, Timothy Newton of San Diego and Beauford Newton of Laurinburg; his daughter, Angie Knight of Laurel Hill; his sisters, Judy O'Brien and Patricia Lathrop of Laurinburg; 6 grandchildren.
Born March 13, 1948 in Scotland County, he was a son of the late Waymon M. and Margaret Lucille Horn Newton. Prior to his disability, he was employed as an office manager with a loan company. Wayne enjoyed his family, grandchildren, and NASCAR.
Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium.
