Vonda Faye (Holmes) Johnson

Vonda Faye Holmes Johnson, 59, of Troy passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at FirstHealth Moore Regional Hospital in Pinehurst.

A funeral service will be held Saturday, July 27, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at Bumgarner Family Funeral Service Chapel, officiated by Rev. Thomas Simpson. Burial will follow at Southside Cemetery in Troy. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Born November 28, 1964, in Richmond County, she is a daughter of Carolyn Honeycutt Britt of Richland, and the late Jerry Holmes. Vonda enjoyed cooking, spending time with her grandchildren and her fur baby, Tinker Lee.

She is survived by her husband of 25 years, John Johnson of the home; sons, Johnathan Bratcher of Atlanta, GA, Brandon Lee Bratcher of Abbeville, SC, and Andrew Fred Smith of Southern Pines; step-son, Scott Johnson of Henderson; sister, Cindy Dorroh of Jacksonville; and grandchildren, Justin, Jaina, Oliver, Noah, Ezra, Autumn, McKayla, Ellie, Laney, James, and Victoria. Along with her father, she is preceded in death by her son, Tommy Dean Smith.
