Mrs. Virginia Livingston Parnell, 83 of 85 Buffalo Road died Monday, October 22, at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be 3:00 p.m. Thursday at Centre Presbyterian Church officiated by the Rev. Dr. Douglas Hix. Burial will follow in Oak Grove Cemetery.
She is survived by her husband, Elmer Parnell; a daughter, Jennie McArthur and husband, Robert of Maxton; two grandsons, Bob McArthur of Maxton and Randall McArthur and wife, Jennifer of Laurinburg; two great grandsons, Trey and Brandon McArthur of Laurinburg.
Mrs. Parnell was born October 31, 1923 in Hoke County, a daughter of the late Ralph and Flora Graham Livingston. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Sandy Livingston, Sr; and two sisters, Catherine Clark and Ellen Rhodes. She retired from the office of Dr. E. C. Womble in Wagram.
Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Wednesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium in Laurinburg.
