Virginia McAbee "Jenny" Polston, 71, passed away Monday, June 15.
A memorial service will be 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium chapel.
She is survived by her son, Robbie (Annie) Beacham of Titusville, FL; her daughter, Heather (Greg) Braswell of Southern Pines; her sister, Judy McAbee of Charlotte; her grandchildren, Morgan Braswell and Evan Braswell; her nephew, Steve McAbee, and her great niece and nephew; Lari and Stephen McAbee.
Born September 23, 1943 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Vincent and Ruth Beane McAbee. She served many years as a teacher's assistant.
Her grandchildren were the sunshine of her life, and she had special fondness for oyster roasts and beach music.
