Virginia Claudette (Gibson) Beane

Claudette Gibson Faulk Beane, 85, of Laurinburg, NC passed away to her heavenly home on January 15, 2022 at the Morrison Manor Hospice after a brief illness. Claudette was born August 20, 1936 in Scotland County.

Claudette leaves her husband, Glenn Beane to whom she was married for 47 years. She is survived by her son, Paul Faulk, Jr. of Little River, SC, his children Amanda Faulk, Paul (Tripp) Faulk Ill, and Shane Faulk, and Amanda's daughter Harmony; daughter Glenda Beane Faxon and husband, Bob Faxon of Tallahassee, FL and their son, Devin Faxon; and Michael Beane and wife, Rachel Beane of Clarksville, TN and their children Mariah Beane Farrell and Megan Beane.

Claudette has three sisters, Betty Butler of Laurinburg, Mary (Robert) Norris of McColl, SC; Bobby (Jerry) Lewis of McColl, SC; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Claudette was owner and operator of Claudette's Beauty Salon in Laurinburg and was an active beauty stylist for 53 years. The beauty salon was her passion, and she would work early and late to make sure her customers were happy. Claudette arranged customer visits for friends to hang out at the same time in the salon - it was a real-life Steel Magnolias.

One of Claudette's favorite places to visit was New York City. Claudette and Glenn also enjoyed traveling together to the beach, the mountains, many hair styling conventions, and Glenn's U.S. Navy conventions. Claudette cherished visits from her children and grandchildren. She loved her two cats, Molly and Buddy.

Visitation will be at the Fellowship Hall of First Methodist Church in Laurinburg on Wednesday, January 19, from 12 - 2 PM. A memorial service will follow at the First Methodist Church at 2 PM. 101 W Church St, Laurinburg, NC.

Prior, Claudette will be lying in state at the Bumgarner Family Funeral Home Monday and Tuesday, January 17 and 18. 305 E Church St, Laurinburg, NC.
