Mrs. Virginia Smith Bracey, 81, of 1705 Anita Drive, died Tuesday, at First Health Moore Regional Hospital.
A memorial service will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel with Rev. Jim Bumgardner officiating.
Born January 14, 1919 in Maxton, she was a daughter of the late Ernest and Carrie Windham Smith. Mrs. Smith was a secretary with the Ford Motor Company for 14 years and retired as secretary after 14 years with Boling Chair Company in Mt. Olive, she served 15 years as a volunteer with the Cherokee Village Hospice in Arkansas and she was a member of the D.A.R. and Faith Presbyterian Church.
Surviving are her husband; James A. (Jim) Bracey of the home, three daughters; Anne Lewellen of Tulsa OK, Bettie Pope of Martinsville, VA and Elaine Feree of Greensboro, Two sons; Ernest Bracey of Mountain Center, CA and Bill Bracey of Brandon, MN Two sisters; Ernestine Napoli of FoxFire Village and Doris Pyott of Southern Pines, eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
