Mrs. Violet Everett Hufton, 91, of 1314 Muse St. died Thursday, January 25, at her home.
A graveside service will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday at Hillside Cemetery officiated by the Rev. Elizabeth Forester. The family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
She is survived by her husband, Stanley M. Hufton; a grandson, Wayne "Butch" Farrah, III of Rockingham; a daughter-in-law, Margaret Farrah-Sullivan of Rockingham; great grandchildren, Matthew Wayne Farrah and Olivia Ann Farrah; sister-in law, Clara Everett of Florence, SC. She was predeceased by her sister, Martha Everett, and brothers, Ballard Everett, Allen Everett, Frank Everett, and Baxter Everett.
Born June 23, 1915 in Scotland County, she was a daughter of the late Charles F. and Carrie Genes Everett. She was employed by Morgan Mills, Springs Mills, and J. P. Stevens from 1932 until her retirement in 1990.
