Vera Evelyn Bowman, 83, died Thursday, January 9, 2014 at Scotland Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, January 12, 2014 at 3:00 pm. at the McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium Chapel. Burial will follow the service in Scotland Cemetery.
She is survived by a son, David Bowman (Michelle) of Charlotte; a daughter, Sandra Balyan (Sunny) of Maxton; and three grandchildren, Faith, Anala, and Malina Balyan.
Born November 9, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Arthur Sr. and Josephine Phiney Adkins.
She will always be remembered for her love of gardening.
