Vander Clark, Jr., passed away on December 7, 2025, at the age of 89 at Scotland Memorial Hospital.

Born on November 8, 1936, in Marlboro County, SC, he was a son of the late Vander Clark Sr., and Lula Mae Turner Clark.

A retired Navy Commander, Vander dedicated 35 years of service to his country, making numerous deployments to Vietnam and traveling to various countries worldwide. His military career not only exemplified his devotion but also served as a foundation for the principles he instilled in his family.

Known for his love of country music, Vander spent delightful moments playing the guitar and listening to tunes. His passion extended beyond music; he found joy in walking his dog along the beach and delighted in reading about historical events.

Vander is survived by his three daughters, Kim Rohrberg, Pam Paolucci, and Vanita Clark; his four loving sisters, Betty Young Walters (Will), Barbara Clark, Macy Cummings, and Ruby Stubbs; his five grandchildren; his two great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He is predeceased by his brothers, James R. Clark, Carson Clark, and Jimmy Clark; and his sisters, Mary Livingston and Martha Giddens.
