Tom Hatcher, Jr., 80, passed away Friday, January 22, 2016.
A memorial service will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at McDougald Funeral Home and Crematorium. Visitation will be 1 to 2 p.m. at the funeral home.
He is survived by his sons, Charles "Bozzie" Hatcher (Nancy) of CT and Frederick "Freddie" Hatcher (Jatuania) of FL; a special grandson, Michael Hatcher of Laurinburg; 9 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta Evans Hatcher; his son, Tommy Hatcher, and his daughter, Linda "Boo" Hatcher.
Born August 15, 1935 in Laurinburg, he was a son of the late Tom and Carrie Pace Hatcher, Sr. He served many years as an electrician at St. Andrews University and was a member of the Laurinburg Fire Department for over 20 years, and Woodville Pentecostal Holiness Church. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing and wood working.
